The Problem Men Are Facing Today

Men today are facing a huge problem with their testosterone levels. If it seems like men were either tougher or “more alpha” in generations past, it’s because on average they were compared to today.

The thing that makes men uniquely men and gives them those dominant and alpha male characteristics is testosterone.

The problem is that on average, testosterone levels among all men across the board are suffering from about 20% less testosterone in their bodies then equivalent men had in the 80s and 90s. That is an astounding statistic. The very essence of what makes men uniquely male is declining a ridiculously fast rate.

It’s normal that as men get older that they will experience a natural decline of testosterone in their systems. They typically lose around 1.25% per year after they hit 30. They experience their biggest drop between the ages of 30 and 50.

testosterone declines with time

That’s what would be considered the natural decline of testosterone.

What is NOT natural is the rate seems to be decreasing much faster now. It used to be that doctors would treat men in their 50s and 60s for issues relating to low testosterone, and now they’re treating men in the 30s and even 20s!

Without trying to come off as overly dramatic, as a result of this epidemic of sorts, men are looking for all kinds of ways to increase testosterone naturally.

One of the ways to do this is through diet.

Clearly there are great power foods that you should be consuming that have been proven to boost your testosterone levels naturally.

Foods that have healthy saturated fats and monounsaturated fats are particular good. Foods also high in zinc, Vitamin D, and magnesium are also excellent choices to add to the weekly menu rotation.

There’s no question that you need to be eating the best and most powerful foods that have been proven to boost or increase your testosterone levels, but there’s another angle to look at when it comes to diet and testosterone levels.

What Foods Actually Kill Testosterone?

As important as it is to know what foods increase testosterone levels, it’s also equally important to know which foods are dangerous to you and that are known to kill testosterone levels.

Typically the issue with the worst foods for testosterone are they are extremely estrogenic, meaning they produce a lot of estrogen, and that’s the worst thing for a man. Estrogen is known as the female hormone. It is to a female what testosterone is to a male. Estrogen has all the qualities and characteristics that make a woman uniquely female. Even men have (or should only have) small amounts of estrogen in their system.

It becomes a problem when small amounts of estrogen turn into large amounts. Estrogen kills testosterone, and once you start killing testosterone, you experience a whole negative domino effect of bad side effects and health risks, so this is really nothing to fool with.

Here is a list of 5 foods that kill testosterone :

worst foods that increase estrogen

Sugar – it’s one of the worst foods for you in many regards, and it’s highly estrogenic.

Simple Carbohydrates – foods like donuts, cakes, cookies, etc. all have high estrogen producing characteristics and they just add weight to you. Additional weight kills testosterone  and produces more cortisol (which also kills testosterone)

Soy – mimics the properties of estrogen since it’s been so mutated from it’s original form.

Non-organic milk – contains so many different chemicals and herbicides that were fed to the cows and into their milk. These chemicals are extremely estrogenic, so just make sure and buy organic milk.

Non-organic meat – same issue here with the meat. You’re eating and ingesting so many high estrogen producing chemicals that were fed to the meat that you’re eating.
